Joan Cecilia Scott

Scott, Joan Cecilia, age 84, went to be with her heavenly father November 21, 2018. Joan was a devout Catholic. She attended St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for 69 years; she sang in the choir and was on the altar society for many years during that time. She was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi for the last 14 years. Joan was a prayer warrior. She prayed the Rosary continuously and kept track of all those in need of prayer. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She diligently prayed for them to succeed in all of their endeavors. Joan was a kind and wonderful person who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James A. Scott and daughter, Theresa Marie Scott. She is survived by her daughters, Jacque (Ron) Clupny and Jan (John) White; son, James F. "Jim" (Cheryl) Scott; brother, Eugene Koester; sister, Kay Dye; 13 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018, and Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018, both at St. Francis of Assisi, 861 North Socora, Wichita, Kansas 67212.
