Jody L. Davey

Davey, Jody L., 52, former health care professional, entered eternal rest January 2, 2014. Jody graduated from South High in Wichita, Kansas where she would meet her husband, Brian Davey. She would later marry him while still earning her surgical technologist degree at Friends University. Soon after the marriage she earned her degree and they would begin their family with the birth of the first of their four children. Jody was a selfless mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her beloved family. She was an artist of love that was able to create small events like in home movie night into the treasured memories that her family will cherish. She also loved the occasional casino trip and had a soft spot in her heart for her cats. She leaves this earth to join her husband, Brian Davey; mother, Connie Hutchinson; and brother, Tim Hutchinson Sr. She is survived by her children, Roger, Tiffany, Amy, and April Davey; father, Roger Hutchinson; sister, Kelley (Darrell) Hook; and grandchildren, Chelsea, Brian, and Savannah, as well as a host of family members and friends. A viewing will be held at Advantage 4408 W. Central from 1-5 p.m. Monday, January 6th, and a graveside funeral service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory 11800 W. Kellogg 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7th, in the Garden of Freedom.
