I remember your smile at the door, always welcoming me in. At some of the lowest points of my life. 
I was always so impressed with how you seemingly floated through life without a complaint.  Without a bad habit. Without hate. 
You were so much younger than me, but every time we said goodbye, I left with a bigger responsibility to be kinder to the world. No matter how cruel it could be. Now you have gone to that better place. But I won’t say goodbye. Because you are still here with all of us, in the air and in our hearts. I just dropped in to say thank you for being a part of my life.
It was such an honor being a part of yours.  See ya at the door Jojo.

Peace, blessings, and condolences to the entire family. Joe was one of my 1st friends from elementary through high school. Joe was always full of life and love. He actually taught me how to play basketball. I pray the family finds peace during this time. Love.

I would like to give my deepest condolences to the family and his children.  I have known him since he was a teenager being a friend of his mother.  He was always so sweet and respectful, such a beautiful soul. I will continue to lift the family up through prayer!!! This was such heartbreaking to hear. JoJo this is still unreal bro ! A loyal friend indeed, a great father, &bomb host anytime my kids and I came around you made us feel welcomed and loved ! Im so glad i got to meet a beautiful soul like yours, always laughing, smiling, and being goofy with all that jewelry on lol i used to say bro you really need all that on ? And you would say yeah im shinin haha &that's definitely how ill remember you SHININ ! this is not good bye but see you later bro ! I love you rest easy ! 

Joe was a friend and family member for as long as we can remember. He will never be forgotten or missed as long as time will go on. Everyone will never forget is marvelous  genuine  ability he had especially his sons and family.  We loved you then we love love you now.

For the short time I got to be around JoJo I learned that he was full of life, loves his family like crazy, and seem to enjoy life as if it would be his last day on earth. I enjoyed hanging out with him. I can tell he will be a missed soul on this earth. Rest in Heaven JoJo. To the family I send my prayers and prayer for strength, peace, and to be surrounded by love from the heavens and earth.

Words cannot express the sadness of my heart at this moment in time over the senseless cause of death of "Joe".  May your memory bring forth peace to those that love you.  My ❤ is heavy though I know God will grant peace to those you've left behind here on earth.  You will never be forgotten Lil Joe. Joe always had a smile for everyone and a beautiful soul. Over the years I’ve been distant given the situation but the love I have for each and every one of you has never faded. I honestly view all of you as a second family and y’all have never shown me otherwise. 

The last time I saw him he was picking up Lil ant from my house and he yelled what’s up and told me he was going to grow his hair back so I could braid it... we both knew he was joking so we laughed and said our good byes but he was just that type of person to make anyone smile, laugh, and love him.

Sending nothing but love and prayers to the Wheeler/Berry family. Joe and I have been friends since our days at Mead. After school, it was always his house or Mark’s house after school to get ready for hours of basketball. No lie, you could catch us at Linwood, Chisholm, or Sowers every day of the week. Summers were all about riding our bikes everywhere and video games til the early morning hours. Joe was the most laid back, coolest person I knew. Everybody loved Joe. And if you were lucky enough to be one of his friends, you knew he always had your back. As we got older, we saw each other less, but a recent memory was March Madness at Mark’s house and he brought his two sons. From that short amount of time I spent with them, I could tell they were his whole world and he was theirs. Joe, you’re gonna missed so much. I’m thankful for the time and great memories we had and we will never forget you bro.
