He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was also a top amateur golfer in the 1950’s.
He is survived by his wife Marie of 72 years; sons: John McClure, Jr. and Michael McClure (Jan); daughters: Judy Lewis (Don), Janet Gaugler (Dale), and Jill Koehn (Dr.Norman); sister: Harriette Leisek; all of Wichita; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Viewing Sunday Noon to 5pm, at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Rosary 9:30am with Funeral Mass at 10am, Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. Jude Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is established with St. Jude Building Fund.
