Born to Viola and Edwin Rieg on March 12, 1925 in Hutchinson, KS, he was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, provider, teacher, and friend. He received his Chemical Engineering degree from Kansas State University, and worked for Litwin Industries and Koch Engineering where he retired in 1990 as Vice President of Engineering.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, and his sister Katherine (Neff) Rieg. He is survived by his brother Gordon (Molly) Rieg of Jensen Beach, FL, daughters Marcy of Long Beach, CA, Mary Kay of Alexandria, VA, sons Bill (Tonja) of Oklahoma City, OK, and “guardian angel” Tom (Laura) of Wichita, KS, granddaughters Kirsten (Jordan) Jensen, Lori (Dalton) Young of Dallas, TX, grandson B.J. (Rachel) Rieg of Edmond, OK, and four wonderful great grandchildren.
Dad will never be forgotten, and we’ll cherish his life in our thoughts every day.
A private service was held Friday, April 19, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
