Goggin, Joe F., 94, passed away on May 24, 2017. He was born to James B. and Nora Trapp Goggin in Junction City, KS were he grew up with his five siblings and attended St. Xavier High School. Joe was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He served as ball turret gunner in B-17 bombers. Because of so many successful missions flown in Italy and Germany, he left the Air Force as a decorated soldier. When the war ended, he worked road construction, building highways and interstates near Wichita, KS. Joe retired as a licensed plumber. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Lesser Goggin. They had no children. McConnell Air Force Honor Guard will present the flag salute at his service on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Garden of Devotion at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, KS.
