Dear Laurie and Sara...I just found out today that your mother has crossed the Jordan!  What a woman she always was.  I know I don't have to tell you, but she was beautiful inside and out.  She lived out her faith in such a God-honoring way as she was kind and gentle in spirit to everyone she came in contact with.  I always admired her so much, first knowing her in Lamont and then the few years I lived in Wichita.  You were blessed to have her as your mother!  Blessings to you all!

My mother Nellie Dick worked with Kathleen and Joe for a number of years so I got to know them through her.  Kathleen was a wise and wonderful woman.  She treated people with respect and dignity regardless of their station in life.  She will be missed.

We have been praying for you all through the past weeks as she battled the cancer.  Your mother was so friendly and welcoming when we would visit . . .a Godly woman.  May God bless and comfort you.  How precious to have a life eternal with God for her (and us) to look forward to in hope.

I was saddened by the news that I had lost one of the best friends I have ever had.  No matter the distance and time between our contacts, Kathleen was one with whom I could pick up right where our friendship had left off.  I met her when I was working in the President's office, and we did many things together while we were all in Emporia.  I remember when my father had a stroke and I was gathering stuff to take our 4 children to Newton to be with my parents--the doorbell rang and Kathleen came in and asked, "Where's your list?" and she immediately began ironing clothes to pack.  Over the years, I've always loved hearing about you girls and her grandchildren for whom she gave so much love.  You will miss her; I will miss her, but my late husband, Del, was undoubtedly glad to see her again.  (I love the picture!)

My sympathies and condolences for all as you struggle through these trying times.

I live at the north end of Floyd Street and would sometimes walk with your mom or chat with her when she would go by on her walk.  What a beautiful person she was.  I was sad to hear of her passing and for your family, but know that our loss here is heaven's gain.  The Lord's spirit shined bright through your mom, what a kind and sweet neighbor she was!

I was sad to hear of Kathleen's passing.  What a very special woman.  My Mom worked for them for years at the Sands.  Kathleen treated Mom and everyone who worked for them like they were the most valuable employee they had.  I will always appreciate how her and Joe treated Mom.  I will remember her laughter, her soft spoken manner and all of those wonderful snacks she made for break time.  My thoughts are with you girls, know that your Mom was loved by so many.
