Uncle Kenny was the goofest of his brothers and the youngest of 5. I think I really felt connected to him growing up because I am the youngest of all of the cousins (daughter of his middle brother, Dan). He would always give me his undivided attention and lots of laughs. Somehow, I don't think I ever saw him sad, except for when Grandma died. That doesn't mean someone never feels sadness or should be celebrated for it, but it means that he was a special soul who could deal with pain in a way where he was still able to bring joy into the world. 

I met Kenny at Joyland on his 16th birthday. His eyes reminded me of sunflowers on a bright blue background. We shared laughter and tragedy. Gone too soon, but he won’t be forgotten.

I worked with Kenny for quite a few years, I liked Kenny as he was easy to get along with. We shared stories and both of us were interested in certain parts of history. He was quick to laugh, and was proud of his grandchildren. My sympathies to his family. He will be missed
