

68, passed away December 11, 2017. She was a talented floral designer. Kitty was a compassionate person who always put the needs of others before herself. She was deeply rooted in her faith and was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Kitty enjoyed sleepovers with her granddaughter and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. Kitty was preceded by son, Nicholas Akers; parents, Harold and Rita Knapp, Roy and Angeline Akers; and sister, Paula Birket. She is survived by husband of 49 years, Kenneth Akers; son, Chris Akers; daughter and best friend, Stacy (Rocky) Bauman; brothers, Harold (Debbie), Rene (Valerie), Brian (Janet) and Tom (Deanna) Knapp; sister, Jamie (Timm) Cantrell; brother-in-law, Greg Birket; sisters-in-law, Cecelia (Roscoe) Taylor and Marilyn (Dwayne) Rumsey; granddaughter, Mariyah Bauman; as well as many extended family members. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 and Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 both at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
