Campbell, Kurt S., 56, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sept. 30, 2016 in Wichita. Kurt was born the son of Charles M. and Marilyn (Miller) Campbell in Wichita on May 11, 1960. Kurt and Valerie Campbell were united in marriage on Dec. 5, 1985 in Wichita. Kurt graduated from Wichita State University with a master’s degree in Science and Chemistry. Kurt was employed with Koch Industries in Wichita and held various patents in the field of chemistry. Kurt was president of the Kansas Writers Association Club in Wichita. He enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, traveling, kayaking, bicycling and listening to music. Kurt was an Eagle Scout in Wichita. Kurt was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. Survivors include his parents, Charles M. and Marilyn Campbell, loving wife, Valerie Campbell of Wichita, children, Kenneth W. Otte, Maegan Coffey, grandson, Rodney Gage Talty, siblings, Charles W. (Sherry Prichard) Campbell, Bruce A. (Diana) Campbell, Trecia (Terry) McDowell, nephews, Duncan, Ryan and Corey all of Wichita. Visitation will be held 6 to 8pm on Fri. Oct. 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2pm on Saturday Oct. 8, 2016 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Inurnment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Kansas Humane Society.
