Lorraine Marguerite Schneider

Lorraine spent her life caring for others, dedicating many years to her work as a Registered Nurse in various organizations. Her gentle manner, steadfast compassion, and unwavering dedication made her a cherished caregiver to countless patients and families. To know Lorraine was to experience kindness—she never met a stranger, and she had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued.

In 1956, Lorraine married the love of her life, Larry Schneider, with whom she shared many beautiful years until his passing. Together they built a loving family filled with warmth, humor, and devotion.

Lorraine enjoyed a rich and vibrant life. She loved puzzles, Bingo, and spending time listening to 105.3 The Buzz. She had a deep love for animals—from dogs and cats to horses, parakeets, and all birds she delighted in watching near her home. Fishing at their mountain home was one of her favorite pastimes, and she always enjoyed a friendly game of her favorite card game, “Golf.” Her joyful spirit, curiosity, and tender heart created memories her family will cherish forever.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Cindy Leddy (Dan)and Tom Schneider (Lori); siblings, Diane Walker (Chuck), Carole Stremick, and Barbara McCoy (Bob); grandchildren, Brandon Leddy (Madison), Kendra Trump (Jay), Danielle Cohen (Stephen); great‑grandchildren, Lotus, Delilah, Kyler, and Olivia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Larry Schneider of 63 years, and her daughter Debbie Canfield.

Lorraine will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured sister, proud grandmother, and faithful friend. She touched many lives with her gentle presence and generous heart.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring.
