

Lou Ann was born and raised in Hays, Kansas. She played the piano, took dance lessons and loved listening to the radio with her father. Lou Ann graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in history in 1950 and was passionate about all things Jayhawk. She raised her 4 children, was an avid quilter, and enjoyed watching and attending all types of sporting events. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family and was always the life of the party.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Anna Shade; husband, Arthur Snow; daughter, Marsha Pauls; and siblings, Dale Shade, Jack Shade and Jeanne Meade.
Lou Ann is survived by her son, Scott Thompson (Pat); daughters, Pam Miller and Trish Brasted (Gary); grandchildren, Darcy Meyer (Eric), Craig Miller (Liz), Carrie Miller (Derek), Amber Hazleton (Josh), Lindsey Brasted, Taylor Brasted, and Anna Blevins (Caleb); 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia "Nicky" Curran; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, February 12, 2024, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206. The family will be hosting a gathering following the service at the Courtyards at Elk Creek Clubhouse, 4880 North Prestwick Avenue, Bel Aire, Kansas 67226.
