Lula was active with the youth at church, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and ISA at Wichita State.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Seldon Atkins; daughter, Deanna Marie Atkins.
She is survived by daughter, Donna Honafius; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy (Judy) Atkins, Bob (Sandy) Atkins; daughter and son-in-law, Vanda (Bobby) Baker; son and daughter-in-law, Dale (Judi) Atkins, all of Wichita; sister, Ila Swartz and her son, Kent Swartz, Republic, KS; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
