Marie Seavey

Marie Seavey, age 91, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 peacefully in the home they built in 1974. She was born October 23,1932 in Sharon, Kansas to Karl and Frieda Tribelhorn.

Marie retired in 2000 from Cessna Aircraft Wallace Division where she was a wire-harness assembler for 33 years. She was an avid crafter who excelled in ceramics and attended many ceramic shows as a vendor. She was a devoted wife who was married for 65 years to the love of her life George. Her greatest joy in life was her many grandchildren. Marie enjoyed the casinos as well as canning fruits and vegetables from George's garden.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Seavey; son David Seavey and infant children: Bruce and Mary Seavey; her parents, Karl (Frieda) Tribelhorn; 1 brother Carl and 2 sisters, Gertie and Emma; grandson Luke Seavey.

Marie is survived by her daughter Diana Ubelhoer; daughter in law, Pam Seavey; grandchildren: Dawn (John) Guzan, Gary Brown, Chelli, Robert, Aubrey, and Kitti; numerous great and great great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following. Interment is in Garden of The Lord's Prayer.
