NyaLah LaNae Pointer

Born on February 1, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, our precious baby girl, NyaLah LaNae Pointer, affectionately known as “Doodles,” brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of all who knew her. Though her time with us was brief, her impact was profound.

NyaLah passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at just seven months old, surrounded by love in Wichita, Kansas. NyaLah's bright smile, playful spirit, and infectious giggle—especially when watching "The Bee Movie"—will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family.

She is deeply loved and mourned by her parents, NyaJah LaNae Hardyway and Kevin Anthony Pointer Jr. of Wichita, KS, and her extended family, including, maternal grandparents, Toshia Sims (Franco Woodard) of Wichita, KS; grandfather, Carlos Hardyway (Ashley Hardyway) of Arlington, TX; paternal grandparents, Kevin Pointer Sr. and Daphanie Pointer of Saint Louis, MO; great-grandparents, Ernest Sims Jr. and Cynthia Sims of Wichita, KS, Ronald Pointer Sr. of Saint Louis, MO, Willie and JoAnne Batiste of Wichita, KS; uncles, Jaden Hardyway, Justin Hardyway, and Carlos Rodriguez all of Wichita, KS; aunts, Bryasia Allen of Wichita, KS and, Kailee Pointer of Saint Louis, MO; as well as a host of great-uncles, great-aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-great-grandmother, Katie Mae Regular; aunt, Jennifer Edwards; cousin, Quiana Berry; great-grandmother, Laura Mae Batiste; and great-grandmother, Sandra Lee Pointer.

NyaLah’s memory will be honored by Casket Bearers, Darvin Batiste and Larry Graham III, and Flower Bearers, Bryasia Allen and Kailee Pointer.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in knowing that NyaLah is now our angel, watching over us with the same radiant smile that lit up our lives. She will forever be our sunshine and joy.

A Celebration of Life Service for NyaLah will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 10th, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery, in the Garden of Little Angels, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
