A glimpse of the incredible man my father was. Above all else, my dad cherished his family, friends, and his beloved four-legged companions. He had a heart of gold and a gentle spirit, always ready to lend a hand or share what he had, even if it meant giving away his last dollar. Throughout his life, my dad made his share of mistakes, but he dedicated his later years to mending those relationships and showing everyone he loved just how much they meant to him. His humility and willingness to make things right were truly inspiring. The depth of his unconditional love was immeasurable, especially in his role as a protector for my mother, Chris, and his own mother. Rick had a passion for working on his trucks and Harleys, finding joy in helping family and friends with their needs—this was his love language. He took immense pride in my sisters, Dana and Kim, and me, teaching us valuable life skills that would last a lifetime. From changing tires to fixing ceiling fans, he equipped us with the knowledge to be self-sufficient and prepared for anything life might throw our way. And let’s not forget Budweiser, his loyal four-legged companion, who embodied the same loyalty and protectiveness that defined my dad’s spirit. Together, they shared a bond that was as strong as the love my dad had for all of us.

From the moment you entered our lives, you embraced me and Kim as your own, showering us with unconditional love and support. From diapers to bifocals, you’ve been there every step of the way, teaching us the values of strength, resilience, and compassion. Your presence was a constant source of comfort. I can still feel you walking by my side. Our love has grown so deep, and you taught me how to navigate this world with both courage and grace. My Dearest Dad, I'll meet you in heaven one fine day. Where time won't take you away and we can forevermore sit and laugh drinking our coffee like we use too. Thank you for being my father, my mentor, and my friend.
