Robert Portis Strickland

Strickland, Robert Portis 59, passed away May 6, 2018. Robert retired from the Navy after 21 years and worked as a mechanic for Cessna. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors and cared for his family wholeheartedly. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Strickland. Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Ruffin “Bobby” (Lindsey Bierle) Strickland, Zachary (Aleigh) Strickland, and Joshua Strickland; mother, Betty Jean Strickland; sister, Melinda (Glen) Berckefeldt; nieces, Brandi (Will) Matos, Jaimie (WiJay Heinemann) White, and nephew, Justin (Sarah) White, 8 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, from 6-8 PM and funeral service on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 3:00 PM, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
