Robin Jewel Loggins passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Robert Lynn Burton and Betty Jewel Washington on March 29, 1961. She was the second oldest of eight children to Robert Lynn Burton but eldest to her six younger siblings - four sisters and two brothers.
On November 9, 1984, Robin married the true love of her life, Marcus Anthony Loggins. She loved her husband Marcus unconditionally and cared for him deeply. They recently celebrated 40 years of love and dedication to each other. Together they raised two daughters, Tynisa Marie Smith and Antoinette Lanay Muse ( Sidney Muse). Her joy was with her family. She cherished her four granddaughters Anajayè Smith, Anahree Smith, Jewelyn Muse, and Jade Muse to whom she was known as their beloved “Gee Gee.”
Robin was a caregiver by nature. From an early age she cared for her six younger siblings. Her love and care extended to her nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. She was the matriarch of the family and the glue that kept the family connected.
Robin also cared deeply for her countless number of friends and she knew no stranger. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her realized her to be an absolute jewel, just like her middle name. Many have expressed that after only having met her just once, they were touched by her. She cultivated and cherished friendships over many years and to many, Robin was considered to be their very own best friend.
Robin enjoyed a number of hobbies. She loved to read, preferably murder mysteries, and she never missed an episode of her favorite show Columbo, and one dare not interrupt her while she was watching! She once even asked a detective if she could ride along with him to solve a case!
Robin loved to joke and tease her friends and was always smiling and laughing. Many were victims of her antics and pranks! She loved to have a good time and she brought joy to many.
Robin also loved to cook, and boy was she good at it! She expressed her love to her friends through her hospitable spirit and many had the privilege of enjoying her home cooked meals. She displayed hospitality in an exemplary manner, zealously sharing what she had unselfishly with everyone. To many she was considered to be a modern day Lydia.
On November 25, 1995, Robin dedicated her life to Jehovah God by way of water baptism. She zealously spoke about her God Jehovah, always looked for opportunities to share what she’d learned from the Bible. She was a good listener and a bold speaker of truth. These qualities lended to her teaching many about the Bible and helping them to progress to water baptism.
She loved Jehovah God without any doubt and was admired for her infallible faith. Some of her last words of encouragement to her youngest daughter was, “Remember, despite everything, Jehovah is your world.” And Jehovah was her world! She displayed that by the way she lived her life everyday. Robin selflessly and happily worked in the full time service as a Bible teacher in imitation of Jesus Christ for over 20 years.
A memorial service for Robin will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Wichita, KS 67220.
