A man with passion has been taken to soon as Ronald Eugene Brown Jr., passed from cancer, in Wichita, Kansas on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the young age of 32. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on January 19, 1993, the loving son of Bertha and Kenneth Pratt and brother to Stephanie, Jaime, and Sheena.
Anything Ron did in life, he did with passion. From grade school until the end of his life, he was full in on what he believed in and what he saw in others. He gave college a try, yet time in the National Guard, where he earned the rank of E4, gave him a discipline that pushed him forward to reach goals he’d always had.
Meeting and marrying Cassandra, was one of his truest highlights and the pair married on December 7, 2019. His light was bright with Kassie by his side, yet when they welcomed a daughter, Winona, in 2022, that truly lit his life and gave him the fullness he hoped for.
Ron went to work in the oil fields. It was hard work being a roughneck in the fields and working on oil derricks, yet he was going to support his family, however that little voice in his head kept reminding him that being in real estate was truly a dream he’d always had. In fact, the day Winona, his daughter, was born, he quit his job in the oil field and risked everything for his dream in real estate. He was all in from the beginning, believed in himself even when most doubted him.
Around 7 months of putting his all into real estate, he met the one who’d become his business partner and best friend, Alex. Ron said, “It was a dream partnership” and this is when everyone saw Ron’s passion come to life and he flourished, lived and breathed real estate so much so, he pushed those around him to reach for their goals because he saw their potential and pushed them. There are a few names he’d be called, because of his persistence, yet this all truly came from a place of love. Josh, from Ron’ s realty team said, “He’s the coolest friend I’ve ever met, he never treated me like his employee or virtual assistant, but always as his family.”
As you can see, Ron put his all to provide for his family, his team, but in his down time, don’t think he didn’t give any other activities anything less but his all, because he was a pool shark, was on a 700 league, which is achievable by those with real talent, and enjoyed the camaraderie he gained from playing billiards too.
He was a man of talent and love. This include his fur babies, dogs: Cactus, Hemi, and Jax and his mom, Bertha, she, “Believed he was truly an amazing person who lived more life in 32 years than most do in their entire lifetime. When given a choice “to sit it out or dance, he always danced!”
Ron’s passion for life will live on through his parents, Ken and Bertha; wife, Kassie and daughter, Winona; sisters, Stephane Ruhrer, Sheena Van Buren, and Jamie Williams; his real estate partner, Alex, and their team; along with many nieces, nephews, and of course his vast group of family and friends.
In honor of the family, a GoFundMe has been established to help. Ron was the supporter of the family and now Kassie, his baby girl, Winona, and family, still must recoup from medical bills and what will come next. Any donation is so very appreciated. Thank you, The Brown family. gofund.me/e8f65d57.
“You have to find your purpose, find your true “Why” & you will be able to change the world like that.”
~Ron
