Ronald Gene Mauzey

Ronnie proudly served in the United States Army, Calvary Division in El Paso, Texas, ending his active duty in 1983. His sense of duty reflected the same devotion he gave to his family and friends.

He shared his life with Jan Lloyd, whom he married on July 31, 1982, and later with Lisa in 1996. Ronnie was the proud father of Breann, Elizabeth, Patti, Samantha and Michelle. He embraced fatherhood with deep pride and constant support, always celebrating his daughters’ achievements with encouragement and love.

A man of many interests, Ronnie had a passion for country music and Nascar. His infectious laugh filled every room he entered. With a natural instinct for helping others and a heart big enough to hold everyone close, he was often the first to offer a kind word, and a listening ear. He had an uncanny ability for tinkering, rebuilding and repairing many things.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Holsworth (Frye) and George “Casper” Mauzey Sr.; his sister, Opal “Susie” Holsworth; brother, Christopher “Dinky” Holsworth; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Gladys Mauzey; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Ester McGee.

He is survived by his siblings: Johnny, Cheryl, George, Larry and Bobby; children: Breann, Elizabeth, Patti, Samantha and Michelle; dozens and dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews and grandkids. His support, kindness, humor, and adventurous spirit will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
