Sherrie (McBride) Plemons, beloved mother and grandma of Goddard, Kansas formerly of Texas passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the age of 72 surrounded by her loving family. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful" 2 Timothy 4:7. Sherrie was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 16, 1951 to Samuel "Sam" and Ima McBride. She was a retired CNA.
Sherrie enjoyed many things, she was blessed with a green thumb, she loved planting and playing in the dirt. She was known for her amazing peach cobbler at family gatherings. Sherrie was always supportive, told her children how much she loved them and how proud of them she was. Her favorite thing of all was doing puzzles, paint projects and crafting with her grandkids. Her grandchildren say she was the BEST secret keeper, and her grandson Lucas said "Most wonderful, caring Grandma anyone could ever have".
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Bettie Morganti. Survived by her children Timothy A. (Amanda) Holland, Lorrie (Troy Wenski) Tarango, Tawnie (Chris) Hartley, Adam S. (Tayla) Brown, Dakota J. Brown, grandchildren Chelsey, Koby, Hunter, Eric, Lucas, Karli, Aubrey, Elyse, Journey, Jetzen and twin sisters, and one great grandson. A private family celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
