Sona Lou Chick, 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Avita Assisted Living & Memory Care in Wichita, Kansas. She was born April 10, 1933 in Wellington, KS, the daughter of John Conrad and Willa Evelyn (Roberts) DuVall.
Sona enjoyed baking and sewing during her free time. As an avid cat lover, Sona had many cats during her lifetime.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, John and Willa DuVall; along with her husband, Robert E. Chick.
She is survived by: her sister, Connie DeWeese; her niece, Colleen Cook; and her longtime friend, Kenneth "Ken" Thompson; along with many extended family members.
Visitation/Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Union Chapel Cemetery, Mayfield, KS.
