Dr. Terry Lynn Summerhouse DO, born July 17, 1945, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, surrounded by his family. A graduate of the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, he dedicated his life to practicing medicine with skill, compassion, and integrity.
Terry loved to travel and filled his years with adventure, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He was known for loving fiercely, working diligently, laughing loudly, and traveling widely—leaving a legacy of warmth and vitality felt by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his son, William Summerhouse; his father and mother William and Mary Ellen Summerhouse; his brother and sister Dennis Summerhouse and Irene Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Summerhouse, daughters Michelle Shove (Cameron) and Denise Summerhouse; son Todd Summerhouse; and grandchildren Jacob, Madelyn, Noah, Lillian, J, and Stevie.
Celebration on life services will be Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00AM at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church 8021 W. 21st Street, Wichita KS, 67205.
