Thanh "Anthony" Dang Nguyen

Thanh “Anthony” Dang Nguyen, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 86. Anthony was born on March 17, 1935 in Son Tay, Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, and his daughter, Jeanna Nguyen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Huan Thi Dinh of Wichita, KS; son John (Le) Nguyen of Wichita, KS; daughter Connie (Michael) Brown of Overland Park, KS; daughter Nichole (Stephen) Barr of Edmond, OK; daughter Melissa Nguyen of Wichita, KS; son-in-law Z. Chat Nguyen of Powell, OH; daughter Rachel (Andrew) Schreffler of Evergreen, CO; daughter Jeannique (Paul) Phillips of Xenia, OH; son Tri (Kristy) Nguyen of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; daughter Dianne (Robert) Davis of Wichita, KS; son De (Angie) Nguyen of Golden, CO; son Vince (Stephanie) Nguyen of Wichita, KS; 32 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 siblings.

Rosary and Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, Thursday, February 10, 2022 and Friday, February 11, 2022.

• Wednesday, February 9, 2022: Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. both at Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, KS.

• Thursday, February 10, 2022: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita, KS; Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 258 N. Ohio Ave., Wichita, KS.

• Friday, February 11, 2022: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita, KS; Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Wichita, KS.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Wichita, KS with Reverend John Vu Tien Cao as principal celebrant and Reverend Paul Hien Nguyen as concelebrant. Burial will follow immediately after Mass at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony Thanh Dang Nguyen’s name can be made to St. Joseph House of Formation in Wichita (145 S. Millwood Ave., Wichita, KS 67213).
