Walter Leon Parker of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the age of 92 after a lengthy illness. Walter was born on July 12, 1933, in Haskell, Oklahoma. Walter moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked as a Boeing Company and Spirit AeroSystems employee for over 50 years.
Walter enjoyed playing basketball and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Walter was known for his playful storytelling mentorship.
Walter was married. His wife preceded him in death. Walter is survived by his sister; his children; grandchildren; great grandchildren and numerous family members.
Visitation for friends of Walter where they may pay their respects will be held at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory in Wichita, Kansas on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Flowers and remembrances may be sent to Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
