David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After attending boot camp he finally asked the girl across the street out for a date. He and Susan would go on to share in 49 years of marriage. He retired from a successful career with Raytheon Technologies and was an avid golfer, bass fisherman, motorcycle enthusiast and most importantly, a family man.
He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Phyllis Sue Cummins.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan McIntire; children, Angela McIntire and Ryan McIntire (Rebecca); siblings, Mary Henshaw, Betty Newby, Jack Favors, Lois Sotello, Roger McIntire and Anita Vasquez; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
