Nelson R Roberts

Nelson R. Roberts (78) of Mansfield, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Lifecare Hospice, Wooster. He was born April 16, 1937 in Plymouth to the late Leo Bradley and Gertrude (Bliss) Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the US Navy and retired choir director for the Willard High School. He enjoyed keeping up with his former students on Facebook, loved music, being outside and remembered for his contagious laugh.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his son: Danny (Natricia) Roberts of Mansfield, daughter: Beth (Chuck) Vranekovic of Perrysville, 6 grandchildren: Kyler Roberts of Mansfield, Meggen Sampson of Mansfield, and Cory and Katherene Vranekovic of Perrysville and Jennifer Vranekovic of Las Angles, CA and Aaron Vranekovic of Amherst and sister in law: Julia Roberts. He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia “Pat” (Young) Roberts in 2008, 3 brothers: Bradley “Junior” , George and Ted Roberts and 3 sisters: Agnes Willet, Edna Dick and Doris Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard with the Rev. Linda Heinaman of the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Friends may call 5-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Lifecare Hospice through the funeral home.
