Alexandria Margarite Dixon

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Adrian Dixon.

Surviving are her parents, Jeff and Michele Dixon; sister, Victoria Dixon; grandparents, Phil (Pop) Wheeler and Judy (Nana) Wheeler; and her boyfriend of nine years, Spencer Chaplain.

Highly driven and educated, Alexandria earned her MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology (Class of 2024) with Blockchain, Business Communications, and Management Specializations; and her BS in Business Administration, Management, and Finance Concentrations with Philosophy Minor from Ferrum College (Class of 2019). She previously graduated from Grafton High School (Class of 2015) with an Advanced Diploma.

Alexandria shined in her professional career. In her six years at SAP, Alexandria worked as a Business Steering Operational Cloud Revenue Global Business Support Senior Specialist, IES Finance & Solution Management Program Manager, SAP Concur Global Services Operations Program Manager, US DoD Implementation Project Manager / Specialist, and Intern. Before launching her career in technology, Alexandria worked for the Riverside Wellness & Fitness Center as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. Always ready to assist others, Alexandria was American Red Cross Certified and donated blood for as often and as long as she was able.

Alexandria was an active member and devoted leader of numerous clubs and organizations. Through SAP, she was involved with the Catalyst program (Network Organizer and Transformation Enabler), Culture Crew (Captain), SAFe (Coach, Leading SAFe 5.1 Agilist, & Community of Practice Member), IES Release Train Engineer (Community of Practice Member), PROSCI Change Management Professional (CCMP), IT Coordinator (Services Rep), DC Business Women's Network (BWN) Leadership Council, SAP Mentor, Internship Experience Program (iXp) (Ambassador, Mentor, Job Shadowing Host, Panelist, & Speaker), and ENGAGE (Vienna Office Lead). While earning her MBA through Quantic, she helped bridge connections as an MBA Community Creator. She excelled in many roles supporting Ferrum College, serving on the Alumni Board of Directors, Admissions Ambassador (Captain), Sophomore Class (Secretary), Lambda Sigma National Honor Society (Treasurer), College Republicans Federation of VA (Rep & Delegate), Women’s Tennis Team (Captain), the Enactus Academic Team (Project Manager & President), and as a PAL Tutor.

Alexandria received many honors and awards throughout her life, including the SAP 50th Anniversary: Kids’ book “Life at SAP” Campaign Author Award, SAP Concur Global Hackathon Best Innovation Award (Team Lead), SAP Concur Vienna Regional Hackathon Top Innovation Award, SAP Concur Public Sector Employee of the Month, iXp Honors Award (Vienna Top Project Impact & Presenter); Ferrum College President’s Cup Award, Management Award, Chrysalis Literary and Arts Magazine Top Author Award, Dean’s List, Beckham and Arthur Society, President’s Task Force on Student Success, Sophomore of the Year, and the USA South All-Sportsmanship Award for Tennis.

In her spare time, Alexandria enjoyed international and domestic travel, playing tennis, practicing yoga, swimming, fashion, AI, data analytics, empowering women in STEM, supporting early talent, hanging in OBX, family time, board games, playing cards, and bringing people together.

Alexandria’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm ET at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Ferrum College Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Delia Heck and Ferrum College Professor Emeritus Dr. Bob Pohlad will officiate the service. Following the life celebration, Alexandria’s ashes will be lovingly returned home to her family. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her most.
