Barbara Weidner Hanger

Barbara Weidner Hanger, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2021 with her husband Keith Hanger by her side. She was born in York, PA on January 11, 1947. She attended James Madison University and the Medical College of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jeanne Weidner. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Keith; children, Debbie Ramer (Scott), Sherrie Alexander (Dan), and Mike Hanger (Kate); brother, Bill Weidner (Betty); and grandchildren, Trevor Ramer, Nathan Ramer, Houlden Alexander, Cora Hanger, Brady Hanger, and “adopted” grandson Julian Montes Martinez. Barb was an avid runner, golfer, tennis player, and swimmer. She loved to read, spending time with her family, and enjoyed running marathons and completing triathlons. She adored her dogs Joey, Maddie and Trouble. A private ceremony will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Heritage Humane Society.
