

Chuck was born on March 7, 1942 in Bell, California to Charles W. and Violet Marie Smith, née Lewis. He grew up outside of Los Angeles and graduated in 1960 from Montebello High School. He attended CA State University, Fullerton and served in the Naval Air Reserves.
Before moving to Williamsburg, VA in 1994, he was the Assistant Plant Manager for Fabergé Inc. in Pomona, CA for over 30 years.
Chuck's passion in life since childhood was building and flying remote control model airplanes; he was a member of Colonial Virginia Aeromodelers. He also enjoyed traveling, and especially enjoyed his trips to Yosemite.
He is survived by his wife Susie Baldwin; daughter, Lisa Alba (Ruben); son, David Cook; brothers, Richard (Christina) and Jack Smith; and stepchildren, Kevin and Jennie Mummert; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
