

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Daniel and Sarah Hendrickson-Daniel; sisters, Enid Flemming, Florence Alinda Morris-Tuitt, and Gladys Greenaway; brother, George (Manfred) Daniel; mother-in-law, Rosalie Stapleton; father-in-law, Job Stapleton; brothers-in-law, Alfred Stapleton, Henry Stapleton, Joseph Stapleton, Harry Stapleton, Dennis Tyson; and sisters-in-law, Marian Stapleton and Gertrude Stapleton.
David attended British secondary school. A self-employed horticulturalist and musician, he loved music. David played the piano, guitar, flute, steel drums, the organ, accordion, saxophone, and harmonica. He also enjoyed caring for plants, and fishing. He was a member of Altona Baptist Church, La Grande Princesse, U.S. Virgin Islands, where he also also served as a trustee.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Theodora Stapleton-Daniel; brother, Anderson Daniel; sister, Ruth Tyson; brothers-in-law, Magason Stapleton, Benson Stapleton, Fredrick Stapleton, and Nelson Stapleton; sister-in-law, Anita James; his sons, Dexter Daniel, Donald Daniel, Lennie Daniel, and Stephenson (Steve) Phillip; daughters-in-law, Rhonda Gilmore-Daniel, Michelle Vandenheuvel, and Joan Daniel; his daughters, Denise Daniel and Merrylinda Brandy; and his son-in-law, Garry Brandy Sr.
David is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Roslyn Daniel, David Tyson, O’Marie Pemberton, Odessa Pemberton, Deion Daniel, Khalil Johnson, Kierra Johnson, Malik Daniel, Khalil Floyd Stevens, Sean Daniel, Violeta Pemberton, Elesha Rae Brandy, Josiah A. Brandy, Zachary Daniel, Hannah Daniel and Soraya Daniel; four great-grandchildren, JaCheyla Malone, Hezekiah Philip, Anya Melendez, Eliana Pemberton; nieces and nephews, Shirley, Paul, Sinclair, Mary, Maureen, Olivia, Margarette, Ernestine, Beverly, Rhea, Rosetta, Helen, Calvin "Brother" Daniel, Audrey, and Cecil.
He will also be missed by his close friends and other family members, Pastor Will Woods and Family, The Petersen Family, The Nelson Family, The Tyson Family, The Stapleton Family, The Richards Family, Pastor Barnes, Ms. Iva Tyson, The Doran Family, The Altona Baptist Church Family, Mr. Karl Stanley, and Dr. Richard and Karen Van Heckman; as well as the Riverside Hospice Care Team.
Mass will be offered at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg on Saturday, February 20 at 2:30 PM.
