
George John Keister, 78, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 10, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was preceded in death by his father, George Keister; mother, Agnes Keister; and brother, Conrad Keister.
George served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. After graduating from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, he became licensed as a CPA. He later owned Keystone Oncology and various other business ventures.
George was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church, Kingsmill Men’s Golf Association, and the Vietnam Veterans Association. He enjoyed playing golf, chess, bridge and poker. An avid reader and Civil War history buff, he always loved reading a good book
Above all else, George was a family man. He loved spending time with his family, especially visiting with his grandchildren.
George is survived by his wife, Susan Keister; son, Christopher Adam Keister (Elizabeth); daughter, Amanda Louise Patch (Joel); and his grandchildren, Madelyn Ann Keister, Selena Louise Keister, and Jonah Benjamin Patch.
