

He was born August 24, 1940 to the late Harry L. and Edith O. Wilson. Harry was a graduated in 1958 from Chittenango Central High School. After graduation he joined the Navy until he retired in 1979 after pre-com of USS DD Eisenhower as a plank owner and 1st 6 month cruise. Harry then went on to attend Christopher Newport University, where he received a B.A. degree in 1983.
Harry worked for many years for Jamestown Feed and Seed, Ace Hardware, and enjoyed working and playing on the National, Naval Weapons Station, and Cheatham Annex golf courses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry L. and Edith O. Wilson; sister, Ann W. Maynard; and niece, Elizabeth Gaskins.
Harry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rhoda Wilson; daughters, Laura W. Gabeler (Dave) and Amy W. Armstrong (Anthony); grandchildren, Samantha C. Gabeler and Brandon M. Gabeler, and Aaron W. Armstrong and Allyson M. Armstrong; and brothers, Gerald L., David G., John R., and William G. Wilson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 6 to 9 PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A graveside service will take place in Thursday, August 15 at 11 AM at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
