John Francis Malone

John Francis”Jack” Malone, 71, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, John J. Malone and Mildred E. (Burke) Malone. He attended Providence College, where he obtained a BA in History, graduating in 1969 and later graduating from Stanford University in 1989 with a MBA. Jack enjoyed being a coach, referee, playing tennis, golf, hockey, and skiing with family. Jack was also a self-taught guitarist, avid reader and devoted Catholic, and was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Malone; sons, Sean Malone (Susan) and Chris Malone (Lesli); daughters, Ali Malone Wysor (Adam) and Katie Malone; grandchildren, Maggie Malone, Amelia Wysor, Tessa Malone, Jack Malone, Lucy Wysor, Grace Malone, Lily Malone and Charlie Malone; brothers, Robert Malone (Morah) and Kenneth Malone (Carol); mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Hopkins; Jack and Sheila Hopkins, Deb and Carl Swanlund; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 3-5pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. The memorial service will be at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Virginia beginning at 11am Friday, May 24, 2019.
