He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Arrington Wilburn and Joseph Kenneth Wilburn, Sr.
He was a retired supervisor at the Newport News Shipbuilding Huntington-Ingalls. He was a devoted member of the Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Degan Wilburn, his sons, Brian Wilburn (Karen) and Greg Wilburn; brother, David Wilburn; grandchildren, Nicole Wilburn and Brandon Wilburn and his loving pet of many years, Jinger.
