With broken hearts, we announce that Joshua Carino, age 26, our baby boy, brother, and best buddy passed suddenly on 7 March 2020 in his sleep. Joshua attended James City County Schools and graduated from Lafayette High School where he was a proud member of the marching and jazz bands, football and baseball teams, track and field team, and cross-country team, where him and his teammates in 2011, earned the Regional and District championships and placed 3rd overall at the Virginia State Championship. He went on to study at Norfolk State University where as a freshman was also part of the cross-country team. Josh enlisted in the United States Army and served as an Aviation Power Plant Mechanic in Camp Humphries, Republic of Korea, and Fort Carson, Colorado.
Everyone that met Josh, even for a minute, understood that he had a heart of gold, and that he was the most honest person you could encounter. Everyone that met Joshua was enriched by his presence and without a doubt, he left rays of sunshine on all our lives.
Josh will be missed every minute of every day by his Father, Alfredo, his Mother, Beverly, his Brother Alfredo (aka “my brother”, “Foto”), his grandparents Alberto, Carmen, Neftaly, and Edna, his loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, and of course all his good friends.
The Lord gave us a son in Fayetteville, NC on January 7, 1994, and gave his big brother his best friend. He was loving and serious, hilarious and a straight arrow, and hard-working yet was always was trying to chill. His moral compass was always pointing True North, he never veered from doing what was right. His heart was clean and his spirit was unbreakable.
Josh, we know that you are looking at us from heaven. We love you and miss you so very much. Your presence is always felt and you will never leave our side.
