Lealand Marie Knight

Deal was born on August 30, 1930 in Richmond, Virginia. She was the fourth of seven children born to Pius and Frances Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harry D. Knight, as well as all of the Keller family members: Frank Keller, Anthony Keller, Kathleen Hollowell, Lillie Mae Underwood, Dorothy O’Connor, and Bucky Keller.

Harry and Deal raised three children, Harry G. Knight (Catherine), Kelli Lynn Cutler (Carter), and Mary Frances Parrish (Woody). Between all of the children, “Grandma and Grandpa” were blessed to have 8 grandchildren: Brian Knight (Brandy), Anna Altenburg (Austin), Travis Cutler (Danielle) Scott Cutler (Megan), Haley Hornsby (Zach), Charlie Parrish (Stephanie), Andy Parrish (Ashley), and Woodson Parish (Lily) and their 17 great-grandchildren whom they loved dearly.

Mom and Dad travelled the world and lived life to the fullest. They were inseparable in life (except when Dad had to go hunting) and they loved nothing more than to be surrounded in their home by all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were blessed beyond words and we will miss them always.

The Knight family wishes to express their most heartfelt thanks to the Hospice House, especially Heidi and Brandon, for their wonderful help and support.

A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park, located at 12750 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23606, United States. The service is scheduled for December 6, 2025, at 11:00 am.
