Nelsen Williamsburg
Lowell Clemons of Arlington, VA peacefully transitioned on May 11, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1962 in Lynchburg, VA.
Lowell proudly served in the US Navy with the USS Nicholson Destroyer in Charleston, SC. He was AWS Cloud Engineer by profession.
Lowell embraced life to the fullest. His adventurous spirit and passion for the seas took him to exotic places with travel groups and on his own multiple times a year. With every travel he enjoyed the company of friends and meeting new acquaintances.
Lowell developed passion for technology and learning early on in his career. He obtained BBA in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University in 1987. Followed by MBA from Virginia Tech University in 1992, and Masters of Science in Information Systems from George Mason University in 1994. Among his recent certifications are AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, and HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
Those who knew Lowell know him for his great sense of humor, his exceptional work ethics, selfless generosity, and above all his dedication to serve and volunteer with no questions asked. He touched so many lives through his kindness, purity of heart, and candid good nature. Lowell’s cheerful prayer before meal, “Good food! Good drink! Good God! Let's eat!”, remains in the heart of those who love him.
Lowell knew his time had come. Typical to his nature, it was no surprise that he had prepared for what is to come. Lowell had made peace with God.
May Lowell’s sprit continue to live-on in the hearts of those who loved him unconditionally and all whose life he touched throughout his earthly journey.
A graveside service with military honors will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA.
May Lowell’s memory be eternal!
