Mrs. Stover was my kindergarten teacher in 1955.She has always been my favorite teacher,such fond memories I have of her....truly she will be missed.My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time.

June was my patient for many  years at UM Dental School Faculty practice...she was a lovely lady with principles, charm and determination..she will be missed!  Pauline (Ann Arbor, MI.)

I loved my Aunt June. She would talk and laugh and talk and laugh some more. Her stories were just lovely and her sense of humor lit up her and all of those around her. I only wish I had spent more time with her during her life. Now, I am a preschool teacher and I would love to have some advice about certain things my little friends come up with. I hope that she knows that I love her and that I was going through tough times that made it difficult to keep in touch. I hope Lillie is well taken care of. Aunt June loved Lillie and she should find a good home where
she can run and play and pretend to be a guard dog, a hunting dog. I love you, Aunt June.

I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Stover.  It started in Kindergarten and continued until her passing.  I was a student, a neighbor, and a friend.  I started working for Mrs. Stover for 25 cents an hour and I worked in her yard for several years.  We stayed in touch even though I moved away and I was able to introduce my family to a strong lady and friend who influenced and played a role in my life.

I taught right down the hall from June.   I loved talking to June when we had a chance.  She was a lovely person and has left behind some wonderful memories.

When I was a young teacher in 1974, Mrs. Stover crossed the h. s. cafeteria, where k-12 teachers meet on the first day of school, to touch my shoulder and welcome me to the profession. Kindness, patience, and strength -- that's how I recall Mrs. Stover. She has been a role model ever since.

I am sorry I can't attend the funeral.  I want you to know I care.  Was glad I was able to talk to you the first of year.

Mrs. Stover was my kindergarten teacher. 

She was pretty tall at the time. Every day at nap time she rewarded the best nappers with raggedy Anne and Andy dolls.

Over time she included all of us. Even though some of us could not sleep at a time like that.

Mrs. Stover remembered me from kindergarten when she first granted me permission 18 years later to hunt her property. 
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but she gave me permission.

Mrs. Stover always had a smile and left me thru out my life with the feeling she knows how to be happy.

She was the greatest kindertarden teacher ever born.

Everybody....I remember when I was a little tyke I went to my Aunt June and Uncle Ron's house and going in the house with Uncle Ron he said he had a surprise for me and upon entering the house he was right.  Going into the house I saw my Aunt June feeding twin baby lambs with bottles.  She said that something had made the mother sick and she would keep them in the house and bottle feed them for as long as needed.  Aunt June alawys had something going on when I got to the house, we lived close by and it was one special place to go and she will be more than missed.

Aunt June was a delight! I loved how she loved to be outside digging around in her gardens or zipping around in her golf cart with Lillie chasing behind...or riding in the seat beside her! She always had something going on...or had just been to an event in town ... and was always eager to go on to the next big thing. And how she loved the children! From time to time, she would tell a story or two about the antics of the children she taught for so many years. Oh...and how she never stopped missing her husband Ron who just simply died too young. Her love for him endured throughout the decades. 
Aunt June showed us all how to really live and how to celebrate each day as it is given to us. She was an inspiration and a joy, and my life has been enriched by her presence in it.

Dear Aunt June,
You were always here for all of us here in Williamston.  You were such a happy person and a great friend! When I met you in June of 1972 you greeted me like family and from that time on You became my "AUNT JUNE"! You allowed me to help you on many occasions and it was always fun to visit you and sit and have a talk.  You told me about your family and who was doing what and where your special kids were.  You loved them all!  I really wonder even today how you and your skunks got along so well. Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of your life and most of all for being a BIG part of our lives here in Williamston. with love, Howard Dahlstrom

I just learned about the passing of my kindergarten teacher tonight from the Williamston Facebook page.  I was in her class in 1958.  I'm saddened to know that a woman who has, for such a long time, kept a very special place in my heart's memory pages is no longer among us.  I remember her so fondly.    She taught with my Grandmother, Kate Miller, who was a 1st grade teacher in Williamston during many of the same years.   Peace, Mrs. Stover.  God bless you, and thank you for the many young lives you helped shape. Give my Grandma a hug from me.
