Raymond Cornelius Hansen, of Williamston, Michigan passed away on Monday November 25, 2019, at the age of 96. Raymond was born August 3, 1923, in Detroit, the son of Raymond and Pauline Hansen. He served in the United States Army during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company after 30 years of service. Following the death of his wife, Isabel, he moved from Detroit to Williamston, where he flourished in the senior community. He was an amazing grandfather, affectionately known as "Bocky" by his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Raymond (Dona) Hansen, M.D.; grandchildren, Chris Deary, Tim Deary, Tamra Deary, Kelly Hansen, and Jeff Hansen; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Marah, Devin, Ella, Beckett, Jasper, Ajax, and Bowie; sister, Norena Garber. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Walt and Norman; sister, Theresa.
A memorial service to celebrate Raymond's life will be planned in the near future.
