Robert Edwin Leipprandt

Robert E. Leipprandt "Bob" passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024 at the age of 92, following a brief illness. Bob was born and raised in Detroit to Victor and Olive (Tipton) Leipprandt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jean (Jay) Morgan; brother, Warner (Virginia). Following his high school graduation in 1950, Bob served in the US Navy for 2 years. After his service, Bob attended Michigan State University, where he met Diana Champion. They were married in 1958 and spent the next 66 years working, raising their family, traveling and enjoying their communities in Michigan and later Florida.

Bob and Diana were longtime residents of Williamston, Michigan from 1963 to 2022. Bob was active in the Lions Club and as the treasurer for the Boy Scout Troop 63. Bob began his career at Lever Bros (Unilever) where he worked for 17 years in sales. His next career was with Global Communications where he worked for his close friend, John McGoff, and traveled extensively around the country and world.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Diana; children, Jeff (Annie), Doug (Katie), Brad, and Lee Ann (Scott) Hutchinson; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Jill). Bob is thankful for longtime friends Including Bob Knutilla, Curt Hood, and Jim Kennedy.

A memorial service will be held August 31st at Burcham Hills, in East Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to Burcham Hills, Family Life Wesleyan Church or your favorite charity in Bob’s name.
