Carrie Coltrain Phelps

She was born on February 27, 1913 the daughter of the late Joshua L Coltrain and Martha Louisa Peel. She was married to Tom Phelps in 1932 who preceded her in death in 1993.

She is survived by a son, Albert Ray Phelps and wife Betty Jo of Wilson and 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Tommie L Phelps and Nicky B Phelps and 1 grandson.

She was a faithful member of West End Baptist church and the last living charter member. She served the church as Church Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, W.M.U. Works, Training Union, Vacation Bible School and her favorite group being Teenage G. A. S.

She enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. Hand crocheting became her favorite past time.

The funeral will be at West End Baptist Church on Monday October 8, 2012 at 3:00 PM with Rev E. T. Vinson officiating.

Visitation will be at West End Baptist Church on Sunday from 6-8:00 PM. Flowers are welcome and memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church or a church of choice.
