Mr. Metz was a graduate of Williamsville Central and earned his Associates Degree in Civil Technology from Erie Community College. He retired as a Civil Engineer from NYS Department of Transportation in 2002. He was a member of NYS Association of Transportation Engineers and was recognized with the NYSDOT Excellence in Engineering Award in 1998.
