Attea; beloved wife of the late Frank J. Sapienza; loving mother of Anne Marie (Gary) Paranzino, Frank J. Jr., Joseph, Rose M. (Mark) Martukovich and Suzanne M. (William) Cardone; devoted grandmother to Anthony, Arianna, Frank J., III, Kimberly and Gracie; treasured sister to Rosemary (late Richard) Saffire, the late Dorothy (late James) Wood, Theresa (late Frank) Utz, Agnes (late Donald) Banks, Theodore (Debbie) Attea, the late Philip Attea, Frank (Kay) Attea, Rita (Patrick) MacDiarmid, Cecelia (late William) Rossey and Elias H. (Karen) Attea, Jr.; also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends. Dolores was the family matriarch of over 200, and was involved with organizations in the
Amherst community for over 50 years. She was a founding member of the Amherst Youth Board and the Amherst Museum. She was involved in Rosary Hill/Daemen Alumni affairs where she was in the second graduating class, and is recognized as a Charter Member of the M. Angela Canavan Legacy Society.
Dolores donated her body to the UB Jacobs School of Medicine for research. A Celebration of Dolores’s Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations in honor of Dolores may be made to the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village or St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy.
