Frederick W. Brown

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Brown and Hazel Hyacinth Brown. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Ellie Brown; his three beloved children, Scott Brown, Brian Brown (spouse, Kathy), and Robert Brown; and his wife’s two children, Linda Drinkwater (spouse, Wayne) and Jeff Eckert, whom he loved as his own. His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will live on in their hearts forever.

Fred was also a grandfather to four grandchildren. He is survived by his dear sister-in-law, Carol Krajeski; and his beloved nephew, Scott Krajeski (partner Michael), and niece, Jackie Lawrence. Carol, Scott (and Michael), and Jackie will forever cherish his memory, along with all who knew and loved him.

Fred grew up just outside Buffalo, New York, and later graduated from St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, New York (Rochester NY). He and Ellie remained in Pittsford while Fred worked for Harris RF Communications, a technology company that makes RF communications equipment, including radios and antennas.

Fred and Ellie shared a love for travel, enjoying trips both domestically and abroad. They also cherished skiing together, embracing the opportunity for adventure and relaxation in the mountains. Fred was known for his sharp wit and sly sense of humor, always ready with a clever remark. He had a way with words—sometimes colorful ones—but his charm and warmth made everyone smile. His quick humor and candid spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Fred was also inviting and easygoing. He had a young-at-heart quality that shone through, especially when he would carry on a conversation or share stories and laughs while seated on the screened-in porch in Pittsford.

Fred's final resting place will be at St. Peter Cemetery & Mausoleum in Oswego, NY, February 28th, 2023 at 11:30 a.m.
