With love and care especially for Jen and Matt, Mike, and Tim, and for all of Jim's family, I'm remembering them and Jim.  Jim being gone still seems impossible and hurts my heart.  I imagine all of Jim's friends feel the same way.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  We had a lot of fun running the Taste of Buffalo together for over a decade.  You will be missed, my friend.  Angel wings, buddy!  Chair 1998.

I just heard this sad news today.   I knew Jim during our time at Canisius College and although I hadn't seen him or spoken to him in many years, I always admired him and was impressed by him and all the many things he juggled at once.   He was in my mind the quintessential St. Joe's guy.

With a saddened heart I offer my deepest sympathies to Jim’s family.  I met Jim in law school at the University of Detroit.  We had a wonderful group of friends and shared many good times together.  He was a kind and funny guy who I am so honored to have had the chance to know.  
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Greco family.  May he rest in peace.


Jim was in my Leadership Buffalo class of 05'.  He was the nicest and most authentic guy.  He will be missed by many.  RIP good buddy. 

I'll never forget the look of astonishment on Jim's face, when he and I were teamed to complete a Leadership Buffalo 2005, Community Day task that required us to intertwine our bodies. It was hilarious; and, we were a hit!

My prayers for comfort, strength, and peace are going up for his family, and loved ones. He was a special guy!

We fondly remember our wonderful visits with Jim and his family during our vacations in Buffalo, and Jim's trips to Phoenix. On one of our vacations, Jim graciously took off an entire afternoon to give us a personalized tour of the beautiful downtown buildings of his city, and the Erie Barge Canal excavation. Our hearts grieve with friends and other family members at this sad time. He will be missed.

I will always remember Jim's kindness, his empathy, and his good humor with a ready smile. He could make a running joke out of almost anything. My condolences to his family and to Matt.

I worked with Jim for many years while employed at Selective Insurance. He successfully defended many cases for me and was a valued attorney.
I enjoyed working with Jim; he was a really good guy, easy to get along with, sincere and genuine. He made my job easier and he taught me a lot about the law.
We also shared a common interest in music and attended several Springsteen concerts together. 
He was too young and too good a person to leave this earth so soon. Very sad to hear the news.
I wish his children and family my deepest sympathy.

Jim was among my amazing circle of friends at Canisius College.  I have very fond memories of our time together in classes, student clubs, attending basketball games, Quad and other parties and formals..and even polka dancing in the cafeteria.  I am saddened to hear of his passing.  To the entire Greco family: my thoughts and prayers are with you.



Jimmy was always a doer and dogooder... From the time I met him in 7th grade he was a good person who was class president and always kind... My most likely to succeed friend was just that and those are the memories which I’ll always remember... To you my friend, you will always be missed...

I met Jim and Matt Duggan in 1991 while studying for the bar exam.  We hung out during that Summer and from time to time afterwards.  Although I have not seen Jim for a few years, I can still vividly remember Jim's smile, humor, and intelligence, and just being an all-around "good guy".   Jim was one of the nice guys in a profession filled with some not-so-nice people.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and Matt.  Rest in peace Jim.  

I met Jim as we studied for the NY Bar examination in the summer of 1991.  Although we attended different law schools and did not know each other until then, it was evident that he was a kind and generous person and he developed many friendships.  He helped people through this stressful time in our lives as we prepared for the exam.  I would see him from time to time over the years practicing law in the Buffalo area and he always maintained that gentle and kind presence and was focused on helping people.   He will be missed.  God bless him and his family.

I met Jim at Canisius back in the late 80's. I am very lucky to call him my friend for the past 30+ years. He epitomized what I think of as a true Buffalonian. Like many of us he was an avid Bills and Sabres fan. (We went to at least 1 Bills' game every year for the last 3 decades.) Moreover, he loved this City. He knew and promoted its history, its great features, and its people. More importantly, he went out of his way to help others, whether that was with his law degree or with his kind nature.  He did so much for anyone that needed him.  I will miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to his family. 

Jim was one of my dearest friends at Canisius. I have many positive and loving memories of him over the last 35 years.  He was a smart, charismatic, engaging and a loving person.  He was a good friend and I am better for having known him. I find his premature passing very disturbing and profoundly sad.  He will be missed by many.  I pray that he has found peace and that those who grieve his loss will find comfort in their memories.  I will miss him. My deepest condolences to Jennifer and the boys, his parents and Jodi, his extended family, and his many friends, especially his best friend Matthew Duggan.  Rest In Peace my dear Jim!!

Jim and I worked together at small a law firm together, I did his typing ;had a blast . He always remembered  the staff at Christmas with beautiful thoughtful ornaments, which still hang on our tree.  Later I would see him  when I went to work for a judge . He was so respectful.  He was so proud of his boys. So many wonderful memories RIP “meeester Greco” you will be missed. 

My deepest condolences to Jim's entire family.  He loved all of you so much.  He was so proud of his sons.  He loved to talk about their accomplishments.  Jim and I went to Elementary, Middle, Separate High Schools (but we did everything together socially in our special group) and College together.   I will never forget waiting for the school bus in elementary school as we played games. C.Y.O. youth group fun, high school dances and going to all of the Proms together. Jim was the planner for all of the fun things our "group" did together.  Billy Joel would be playing and he would be singing along.  Although his smiling,  shining light has gone out here on earth, I pray that he is in heaven looking after all of us as a guardian angel.   Rest in peace Jim.  I will always think of you when Billy Joel is playing.

So very sad to hear of cousin Jimmy's passing.  I will always have fond memories of spending time with him at family gatherings.  Our heartfelt sympathy and wishes of comfort and strength are with his family in this difficult time.

We were good friends in grammer school, we used to visit each others houses and had a lot of fun.  Jim and his parents were always very good to me as a young kid, a lot of good memories. Jim will be missed. God Bless him and his entire family. You will all be in my prayers.
