Joseph W. Burden

January 14, 2022. Beloved husband of 60 years of Patricia Ann (nee Wagner) Burden; loving father of Joseph W. III (Donna) and Timothy J. (Gretchen) Burden; cherished grandfather of Alex, Dani, Cole and Andrew Burden; dear brother of William (late Cece) and the late Robert Burden.

Friends are invited to celebrate Mr. Burdens life, Saturday, March 12th, from 2-4 PM at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL HOME INC., 5541 Main St. (at Cayuga Rd.) Williamsville.

Mr. Burden was born in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1934 and moved to Williamsville with his family at a young age. He graduated from what is now Williamsville South High School and then attended St. Bonaventure University, where he was a member of the ROTC program, graduating in 1956. He then served in the US Army from 1956-1958.

Mr. Burden worked for many years as a Manufacturer’s Representative for various machine tool companies including, Clausing Corporation. Later in his career he started his own firm, Burden Associates. He was a lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills, dating back to the team’s start in the AFL. In addition, Mr. Burden was a longtime member of the Williamsville Fire Department, serving as treasurer.
