Her notes are always so heart felt! Love how she always thought of others. Thanks to Sue Arrnts for sending these to me.

Here was probably one of her last thank you cards she sent her eyes were bad so she had one of the staff at Heathwood write it for her.

The Chapel through out the time Mom was is assisted living sent her cards on a consistent way. So Mom sent them cards saying thank you for remembering her! How precious!

Mom loved her Bill's she was so proud of this picture. When she played Bingo when they called out 17 she yell out "GO BILLS". Now that's a fan. 2025

I first met Mary when I worked at the Wegmans on Sheridan Drive. She would come in almost every day to buy her lottery tickets. She was the kindest person I have ever met, always with a smile and a hug!! Rest in Peace, Mary. I will always remember your beautiful smile and your wonderful hugs❤️

Mary’s big heart and beautiful smile were a cherished part of my childhood near Georgetown Plaza in Williamsville. From her days behind the counter at Leader Drugs to hosting at the iconic Goldie’s Restaurant and managing all of us who waited tables there, she was a constant presence in our lives. She was a second mom to so many of us, always sharing her endless supply of love and optimism—whether with those of us lucky enough to work alongside her or the many people who crossed her path. She held a special place in my parents’ hearts, especially my dad’s, who always looked forward to when he'd see her at Tim Hortons—and, of course, for one of her warm hugs and radiant smiles. How fortunate we were to have known her. She will be remembered with love and gratitude.

While volunteering at Blocher Homes for three years I had the privilege of meeting Mary-always a smile, a ready laugh and always a story to tell. Mary frequented the gift boutique and I always looked forward to her visits-as she shopped she always shared a funny story or two that made us both laugh out loud-she was one of my favorite residents! Mary was truly a blessing to everyone she knew-it was an honor to know her and be a part of her amazing life.

Dear Joann and Dominic , I was sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a special lady I have called my friend for almost 50 years. I will miss visiting her, I will miss her smile and hugs. I will pray that God helps you all thru this sad time. Good bye my sweet friend, when I think of you I will smile.

I was blessed with the opportunity to feast on Mary’s cooking,  to say it was fantastic is not enough. But remembering family dinners, and time spent was a blessing. A good joke teller too,
We will miss her but knowing she’s standing next to our Lord and savior brings joy unspeakable. and Peace. 🙏💐

Mary and my mom, Mereline, became close friends shortly after Mary moved into Heathwood.  They both had strong minds and related on many levels,  including their love of jewelry. My mother loved to craft and made many pipe cleaner characters for Mary.   My Mom passed away in August of 2022 and I stopped in to see Mary as I was cleaning out my mother’s  room and she proceeded to show me her room and the shrine she created with all the pipe cleaner characters that my mother made for her.    She also showed me  an angel on her dresser that mom had given her and to my heartfelt surprise it was the identical likeness that we had already chosen for my mother’s funeral cards.  I am so sorry that you lost a beautiful mother and grandmother but feel comforted that they are together again enjoying their friendship and meeting each other’s family and friends that left before them❣️
