I met Renata Giacobbe while studying at Buffalo State college.  I took few semesters of Italian with her. She was the best Professor I ever had! She kindly let me borrow one of the textbooks, which I always planned to return but somehow forgot.  It has been 8 years since graduation and today I was thinking about this wonderful Woman.  I went online to see if she still teaches Buff state and found out Renata passed away. It's very very sad. Even though I forgot a lot what I learned in my Italian class, I will never forget Renata Giacobbe.
