Beloved husband of 63 years to Marlen (nee Ferguson) Deveans; devoted father of Thomas (JoAnna Reynolds) Deveans and the late Robert Deveans; cherished grandfather of Jonah, Madelyn, Finnian and Mason Deveans; adored great-grandfather of Derek; loving son of the late Joseph and Veronica (nee Tyrrell) Deveans; dearest cousin of Kitty (John) Jureller.
Dick worked in the general insurance business for many years. He enjoyed tennis, fishing and trips with friends to the Canadian lakes. Dick coached Amherst youth ice hockey and Christy Mathewson little league baseball for many years. Dick had a strong Catholic faith, love of his country, and valued education and a strong work ethic. He was a member of the St. Gregory the Great senior organization and Knights of Columbus.
Relatives and friends may visit PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Monday (March 2, 2026) from 3-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at 10:30am. Please assemble at church.
